THE STUDIOS

BROOKLYN, NY

Located in The Industry City complex in Sunset Park, this small but mighty space features amazing natural light and loads of backdrops and equipment to make a huge variety of headshots and portraits. It is steps from the 36th Street Stop on the R/N/D lines, and shares a building with food, coffee, and shopping. Street parking is generally available but may be difficult.

CAMBRIDGE, MA

Our primary New England location, this huge and versatile first-floor room is stocked with props, gear, and backdrops. It also features custom-built interactive sets, perfect for a creative portrait session. A few hundred feet from Mass ave, near the nexus of Somerville, Arlington, and Cambridge, it features dedicated off-street parking and is about a ten minute walk from the Davis Square T stop. It is also available for rent by the hour

ALLSTON, MA

We’ve been in this building for a decade, and in this studio since 2019. It features beautiful wood floors, amazing direct natural light with western exposure, plenty of great furniture and props, and free off-street parking. It is located on the 4th floor of the 119 Braintree Street building, and is a fair distance from the Green Line. NOTE: This space is mostly for short-term rentals, but is our backup location should the Cambridge studio be in use. However, if you’d prefer to shoot in Allston instead of Cambridge, we might be able to make that work!

PROVIDENCE, RI

This second-floor walkup is part of the Rooms & Works complex near the Cranston Armory. LongLive Brewery is a few doors down, and it is over Providence Bagel’s primary bakery. This space is full of amazing architectural features and has moody, indirect natural light. Not public transit accessible, but about ten minutes from I-95 with a ton of free parking. NOTE: This space is for studio rentals and branding sessions only. Headshots and portraits may be available on request, please reach out here.

    Margaret Hall (Maggie)

    Studio manager, production, product, and interior photographer, mom (human and dog), violist, wife to Nile. Does the NYT puzzles every single day. (all of them, and in a very specific order)

    Minah Campos

    Hair and makeup artist, primarily Providence

    Minah is a makeup and hair artist with a Fine Arts background and training from Vancouver Film School. She loves natural, clean glam and has a soft spot for good color theory. Her goal is simple: make people feel comfortable, confident, and a little extra fabulous in front of the camera!

    Maya Landi

    Hair and makeup artist, primarily Cambridge

    Maya Landi is a former dental hygienist who switched to hair styling and makeup artistry in 2010. She primarily works on film and commercial sets (ask her about her SFX work!) and with studio portrait photographers. She is also a reiki master, death doula, and jewelry maker. Odin would be her favorite, were it not for her girl cat, Fred.

    Eliza Jones

    Hair and makeup artist, Cambridge and Providence

    Eliza is a Boston based hair and makeup artist who got her start in a makeup store and now works on commercial photo shoots and with studio photographers full time. She will likely tell you about her three Shiba Inus or her latest TV obsession.

    Paula has been doing hair and makeup professionally for years, and absolutely loves it! Mostly, you’ll find her on set prepping clients, actors, and models for photoshoots, tv, film, or other types of multimedia. As an artist, she believes aesthetics is one of the most important elements to being in front of the camera and to looking and feeling your best.
